Women should be allowed to have abortions if the baby is the ‘wrong’ sex, claimed an expert at the British Medical Association.
Professor Wendy Savage said the law banning terminations based on sex should be scrapped.
In a revealing interview with the Mail on Sunday, Savage also said women should be allowed to abort at any stage of pregnancy.
But the current law only allows women to abort a baby before 24 weeks of pregnancy.
‘It’s her body. She is the one taking the risks,’ she said.
